Christmas Card 2010

This is the painting I used for my Christmas cards this year. It's from a photo that I took in February of 2010 after we had about two feet of snow. This is across the street from where my sister lives. I also used this to enter a contest in Watercolor Artist magazine's "Try This at Home" workshop. I have'nt gotten any replies about my entry yet. It would be nice to win something, but I imagine the competition is pretty stiff.

    Melanie, thanks for visiting my blog. Loved reading your bio (in some places you sound like me; I don't loosen up well either! LOL). Your landscapes are phenomenal! That water in the conservatory is perfection - it looks so real!! I look forward to following your blog myself.

    Oops! I guess I should have mentioned that the picture in the conservatory is a photo. Sorry. I wish I could paint that well!

    Thank yoyu Autumn and Bonnie for your comments. I didn't really think about my color choices, but now that you mention it, Bonnie, I realize that my color choices all leaned toward their cooler colors on a color wheel.
